At Kyoto Osteopathy Center OQ, we welcome every person — regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, age, body size, or cultural background.

OQ is an inclusive, discrimination-free clinic. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome every person regardless of background, identity, or belief.
Why this matters at OQ
Osteopathy is about finding what disturbs the natural flow of your body and gently letting your own systems return to their work. The way a body holds tension, the way a story is told — these are different for every person. That is why we begin by listening to your own body’s story.
We do not ask about gender identity, sexual orientation, or family structure unless it is clinically relevant. If anything in our intake form or in how we address you feels off, please tell us — we will adjust.
Practical details
- “Relationship” field on the intake form — use whatever language fits: partner, spouse, family, friend, or anything else that feels right.
- Companion in the treatment room — you are welcome to bring a partner or family member. Just let us know.
- Restrooms — all restrooms in our building are gender-neutral.
- How we address you — please tell us your preferred form of address on the intake form (first name, honorific, pronouns, etc.).
- Children — childcare can be arranged on request when you book.
For fertility, pregnancy & postpartum care
We care for some of the body’s most sensitive transitions — paediatrics, pregnancy, women’s health, and postpartum work. Same-sex couples are welcome for fertility and pregnancy support. Treatment rooms are private, and the clinic is fully appointment-based, so you can settle into the time with quiet around you.
