Why I Keep Learning

The body is one connected system. Knowing the bones, or the muscles, or the organs in isolation does not, by itself, help a patient. What helps is understanding how these layers move together — and that takes years of careful study.

Osteopathy is a regulated medical profession in the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia. In Japan, it is not yet a state qualification. That is precisely why I have committed to formally recognised education abroad — to ensure that what I offer in Kyoto rests on the same foundations practised internationally.

Since 2004, my postgraduate training has accumulated to over 6,000 hours. Even so, the work feels unfinished. The deeper the study, the more the body reveals — and that is exactly why I continue.

Always Continuing

Each year, ten or more postgraduate courses. It is not for collecting credentials — it is the simple wish to listen to each patient’s body more carefully than I could last year.

What I learn today goes into today’s session. What I learn next month, into next month’s. That is the rhythm.

Curious about what a session at OQ actually looks like? What to expect at your first visit →

Note: The list above contains the principal training records. Additional seminars — including postgraduate study in France — are part of the broader record and will be added as documentation is finalised.
